When you have a pet, you know keeping your carpets clean can be a struggle. Mud can easily be tracked in and sometimes accidents happen.
As your pets start to shed their winter coats, the hair can gather on just about anything and even clog up your vacuum cleaner. Here are a few easy things you can do before vacuuming your home:
- Wrap an old broom, or mop, or paint roller in masking tape to act like a large lent roller.
- Even though you’ve soaked up as much of pet urine as possible, it is still important to clean the spot with a mild soap and water solution. You can also mix two parts water, one part white vinegar to keep your pet from urinating in the same areas.
- Powered odor eliminators can only mask the odors for so long. To help battle odors, sprinkle baking soda on your carpet before vacuuming.
- Older stains such as urine, blood or vomit can be tougher to remove from carpets. Which is where we come in. As professional carpet cleaners we are able to remove the build-up in the carpet’s fibers.
